Operations Site Manager

Job Title: Operations Site Manager

Location:Wethersfield, Braintree

Salary: £50,000-£60,000

Hours:44 hours per week, consisting of 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends. The schedule follows a 5-week rotation covering 7 days, with shifts planned in advance.

Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed Term (6 months, possible extension)

Purpose of the Role:

As the Site Manager at Wethersfield, you will oversee staff and Service User (SU) management, ensuring their wellbeing and maintaining site infrastructure.

You will act as the primary contact for staff and subcontractors, managing operations to align with the companys objectives and requirements in a timely, compliant, and commercially aware manner.

The sites primary function is to provide safe, temporary accommodation for Service Users.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in people and site management and demonstrate strong leadership across all shifts, including nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain effective daily communication with key stakeholders, including government authorities, subcontractors, healthcare providers, and support services.
  • Ensure all HSE and contractual requirements are met, including managing registers for Fire Risk Assessments, licenses, fire safety equipment, repairs, and inspections.
  • Track and document all expenditures, including approvals, procurement details, and usage, following established procedures.
  • Maintain a photographic record of site conditions, events, and completed works for accountability.
  • Conduct daily inspections to identify and log defects, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Attend all on-site meetings with stakeholders and authorities.
  • Update and manage site Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including Business Continuity, Emergency Evacuation, Fire Safety, Covid-19 Management, and Infection Control plans.

Required Skills:

  • Strong leadership and site management experience.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to prioritise under pressure.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and health/safety compliance.
