Application Pre-Sales Engineer

Location: Essex (Hybrid)

Overview

The Application Pre-Sales Engineer is responsible for providing comprehensive technical and sales support to customers and the sales team across the UK and Ireland. This role involves ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the entire sales process, from lead qualification to order processing and after-sales support.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a back-office contact for customers, managing market follow-up, lead qualification, actions, and reporting.
  • Compare order and sales figures against budget and establish forecasts.
  • Provide product consultation and technical support to sales engineers
  • Oversee the entire sales process from prospect identification to ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Handle order processing and address quality claims.
  • Participate in order reviews and track sales performance.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, planning annual activities and liaising with corporate HSE.
  • Coordinate IT support, ensuring functionality and internal satisfaction, and liaising with corporate IT.

Skills & Experience

  • Degree or diploma in a business or engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in an international business environment.
  • Experience in the industrial battery, renewable energy or energy solutions is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, high motivation, strong technical aptitude, and effective time management.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with an energetic and open-minded approach.
