Are you passionate about science and keen to support the next generation of budding scientists? We are seeking a dedicated and organized Science Technician to join our dynamic science department. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has a keen eye for detail, and is enthusiastic about working in an educational setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials for science lessons, including experiments in biology, chemistry, and physics.
  • Support teachers and students during practical science sessions, ensuring all experiments are safe and effective.
  • Maintain and organize lab equipment, keeping inventories up-to-date and managing supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including correct handling and storage of chemicals and biological specimens.
  • Assist with the maintenance and cleanliness of lab facilities and equipment.
Requirements:
  • Background in science (GCSEs or A-levels in science subjects or relevant work experience).
  • Knowledge of lab safety protocols and experience handling chemicals and lab equipment (desirable but training can be provided).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting both teachers and students.
