Workshop Operative Job Requirements
  • Ideally, GCSEs in Maths, English, and Science (Grade C or above)
  • Experience in fettling, foundry, or engineering-related roles preferred
  • Abrasive wheels training is an advantage
  • Candidates without formal qualifications but with relevant industry experience will also be considered
Workshop Operative Salary & Benefits

Paid 4-weekly - £11.52 - 12.22 /hr, dependant on qualifications and experience, with review in 26 weeks and next formal review in 12 months. You could also receive a Production output related bonus (not guaranteed).

Total Remuneration: £23,362.56 - £24,782.16 per annum (The starting wage is also in the process of being reviewed)

  • Weekday and Saturday overtime - x1.5 rate
  • Weekend Sunday overtime - x2 rate

Note: Overtime rate is only paid after 40 standard hours are completed per week.
