Sheet Metal Worker - Due to continued expansion we are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal worker / CNC Brake press setter to join this excellent company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and maintaining tools and equipment used in the manufacturing process. The successful candidate will also have a strong understanding of safety protocols and be able to work with a variety of tools and machines. We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and committed to providing quality workmanship.
What You'll Do:
- Program/ set and Operate Amada brake press machines to shape and form sheet metal.
- Utilise laser cutting equipment to create precise metal parts.
- Work with fine limits to ensure top-notch accuracy.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Perform quality checks to maintain our high standards.
- Collaborate with our engineering and production teams.
- Keep your work area clean and safe.
Required Qualifications/Experience:
- Minimum of 2 year's experience in programming/setting and operating brake presses, preferably with Amada machine tool experience.
- Strong understanding of machine tooling and processes.
- Understanding of Amada software would be an advantage.
- Understanding of fine limit sheet metal manufacturing and ability to maintain high quality standards.
- Proven experience with press brake programming/setting and operation.
- Experience in part nesting/programming.
- Experience in CNC laser setting & operation.
- Familiarity with tools and techniques required for precision engineering.
- Understanding of Guillotine Setting/operation.
- Ability to read and fully understand technical drawings.
