Role Expectations

  • Learning & Achievement: Create differentiated learning experiences that cater to the individual needs of students, ensuring all learners are challenged and supported.
  • Teaching & Planning: Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with curriculum standards, school policies, and best practices for special educational needs.
  • Assessment: Use school assessment systems to track progress and inform teaching, maintaining comprehensive records of each student’s achievements.
  • Special Educational Needs: Develop and monitor individualised plans, and participate in annual reviews, unified plans, and SEN meetings as required.
  • Curriculum Development: Support the development of a curriculum that maximises impact for all learners, promoting inclusion and social development.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Liaise with parents, colleagues, therapists, and external agencies to foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning and performance management, contributing to school improvement and setting an example of teaching excellence.
