Salary: £35000 - £45000 DOE basic & benefits

Our client is a leading international supplier of innovative Wellbeing & Bodycare products, offering a wide range of skincare, haircare, bath & body, fine fragrance, and home fragrance products. Their 120k sq ft production facility in East Anglia manufactures over 15 million units annually.

The Opportunity:

This is an exciting time to join a fast-growing, dynamic company! They are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Processing Manager to oversee the processing operations, ensuring production meets high standards and continues to grow efficiently.

Role Purpose:

As a member of the Production Management Team, the Processing Manager will be responsible for ensuring that formulation production is completed to high standards, adhering strictly to recipes and processes. This includes overseeing the transfer of materials into appropriate vessels, ensuring hygienic storage, and maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the process area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Manage and motivate a team of processing staff, ensuring high performance in all areas of production.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and assess production quality, implementing corrective measures when necessary.
  • Hygiene Standards: Uphold strict hygiene protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Health & Safety: Enforce health and safety protocols, conduct regular audits, and provide ongoing safety training.
  • PPE Compliance: Ensure that proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is followed and staff are trained accordingly.
  • Organisation: Plan, coordinate, and schedule production activities to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve production processes, reduce waste, and optimize productivity.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in processing or production management.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to resolve issues quickly.
  • In-depth knowledge of hygiene and health & safety regulations in processing environments.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Confidence in leading teams and decision-making under pressure.
  • Familiarity with PPE protocols and ensuring compliance.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
