Description
The key responsibilities for the Assistant Management Accountant role include:
- Assist with preparing journal entries, accruals, and prepayments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts by gathering data, analysing variances, and providing financial insights.
- Help in the production of monthly management accounts and performance reports for internal stakeholders.
- Perform cost tracking and variance analysis to support business decision-making and improve efficiency.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of the general ledger, including bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
Profile
The successful candidate for the role of Assistant Management Accountant will have:
- Part-qualified or actively studying towards ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent)
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
- Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large data sets
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Organised, proactive, and able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
