Location: Brentford - West London

Hourly rate: £17.95p/h

Working hours: 9am to 5.30pm - 37.5hr week - hybrid

About the Role:

As the Education Test Developer you'll oversee the development and trialling of new questions for tests and assessments. This includes liaising with externals, ranging from freelance question writers to schools themselves. In addition to new content, you will contribute to the construction of live admissions tests by carrying out a range of QA checks including construction checks and end-user checks. The successful candidate will ideally have graduated in Maths or Science or have experience within Education within Maths or Science.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse question bank gaps based on customer needs, ensuring alignment with curriculum requirements for English and Maths
  • Oversee freelancers (e.g., item writers, illustrators, and curriculum consultants) and provide clear question-writing briefs and guidelines
  • Collaborate on the creation and review of innovative test questions, maintaining database quality and relevance
  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate trials for new content, liaising with schools for recruitment, logistics, and feedback
  • Conduct QA checks on tests and contribute to quality-control documentation, ensuring adherence to standards like ISO9001
