HR Advisor ( 12 month contract) Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

Based in Brentford in West London, however would be expected to travel occasionally to Durham and Swindon, depending on the needs of the business.

Hybrid Postion - 2 days in the office depending on the needs of the office

A global education software company are looking for a HR Advisor on a 12 month fixed term contract for their office in Brentford, West London. But will be expected to travel to other offices in Durham and Swindon occasionally . You will be a intergal a part of the HR team, working alongside the HR BPs to be the go to resourse for employee questions, providing guidance on HR policies, supporting employee relations, and assisting with key HR processes such as onboarding, performance management and employee engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with HR Business Partners to provide guidance on policies, HR practices, and employee/manager queries
  • Manage low-level Employee Relations cases, including disciplinary and grievance investigations
  • Advise on HR policies, covering probations, leave, absence management, and flexible working
  • Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting and improvement plan
  • Handle escalated HR Help queries and support onboarding, inductions, and exit interview
  • Assist with HR initiatives, including employee engagement, diversity programs, and policy updates
  • Identify and escalate trends in employee concerns for proactive solutions
  • Improve the People Assist knowledge library by addressing common queries and anticipating needs
  • Work with the HR Coordinator to deliver accurate metrics and maintain data integrity
  • Analyse absence trends and report to HR Business Partners
  • Review exit interview feedback, identify trends, and assist in creating action plans

Experience required:

  • 2 years as an HR Advisor or similar role, with a solid understanding of HR principles, employment legislation, and best practices.
  • Minimum CIPD Level 3 or equivalent
  • Proficient in HRIS software and Microsoft Office packages
  • Experienced in analysing and presenting HR data
  • Strong ability to build trust and relationships across all levels, with excellent written and verbal communication
  • High accuracy in handling documents, records, and compliance, with the ability to manage sensitive information discreetly
  • Strong organisational skills, time management, and a practical approach to resolving issues
