At this primary school, they are dedicated to creating a warm, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for children from Nursery through to Year 6. Their Nursery is a key part of their foundation phase, where they lay the groundwork for a love of learning. They believe in providing high-quality early education, supporting the development of their children's social, emotional, and cognitive skills in a nurturing, safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a team of Nursery staff to deliver exceptional care and early years education in line with school values and ethos.
- Plan and implement engaging, child-centred activities that support the development of the whole child, encouraging creativity and exploration.
- Work closely with the wider school staff to ensure continuity and progression for children as they transition from Nursery to Reception.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with parents, providing regular updates on children's progress and wellbeing.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures, health and safety regulations, and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Lead observations, assessments, and developmental reports to track each child's progress and plan targeted next steps.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and welcoming atmosphere for children, staff, and families alike.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Significant experience in an early years setting, with strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
- In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and best practices in early education.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong, positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents.
- A proactive, caring, and motivating leadership style that encourages teamwork and individual development.
- A passion for providing high-quality early education and making a lasting difference in the lives of young children.
