EXPORT - TRANSPORT Operator - GROUPAGE - FCL/LCL - PLANNER

Due to an internal promotion has created this amazing role for an Export Transport operator within a Road Freight team.

ESSENTIAL

  • Groupage experience - FCL & LCL Cargo
  • EXPORT trailer PLANNING of Groupage cargo
  • Combining part loads with groupage
  • HMRC Customs
  • Negotiation on pricing

We are looking for key skills covering Transport planning for the export planning department covering Eastern Europe/Western Europe.

Main part of this role is to plan groupage of both part loads and full load consignments from UK to Europe, this includes sourcing haulage, negotiation on prices, cooperating with overseas offices and colleagues.

  • EXPORT trailer planning of groupage part load and full loads
  • Combining part loads with groupage to ensure service level expected by customers are met, but in the same time ensure cost effective
  • Deal with customs issues
  • Haulage sourcing and rate negotiating
  • Communicate with drivers and haulers
  • Ensure legislative compliance in all areas
  • Arrange with hauliers for transport of cargo, confirm availability of equipment and agree prices where no tariff exists, to maximise cost effectiveness.
  • Prepare correct documentation and instruct UK warehouse to load cargo to vehicles.
  • Instruct UK customs teams to issues customs paper

This is an office-based role Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

Due to location, you will need to be a driver, parking is available on site as they are not close to any public transport links.
