Assistant Planner/Town Planner

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to working with a dynamic and growing planning consultancy in Brentwood that is looking to bring in a Town Planner to join their team.

The Role:

• Working on a variety of planning projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments
• Assisting with planning applications, appeals, and policy work
• Conducting site appraisals and research to support planning submissions
• Engaging with local authorities, stakeholders, and clients
• Supporting senior team members in delivering high-quality planning advice

Requirements:

• Around one year of planning experience, ideally within a consultancy or local authority
• A relevant degree in Town Planning or a related field
• A good understanding of the UK planning system and relevant legislation
• Strong report-writing and communication skills
• A proactive attitude and willingness to develop within the company
