Brentwood & Rochford Councils are looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Property Surveyor to support their Asset Management Team in managing and developing their diverse property portfolio.
What will you do?
·Lead negotiations on new lettings, rent reviews, lease renewals, and tenant matters
·Ensure compliance with lease obligations and manage rent/service charge arrears
·Prepare heads of terms and liaise with legal teams on lease agreements
·Support external agents in marketing and letting vacant properties
·Handle unauthorised use, wayleaves, easements, and landlord-related repairs
·Develop asset management processes and undertake property inspections
About the Portfolio:
·c.180 assets across Brentwood & Rochford
·Small but dedicated team within the Asset Management service
Who we're looking for:
·UK Resident
·RICS qualified with recent commercial property management experience
·Strong knowledge of landlord & tenant matters within local government
·Ability to travel between Brentwood & Rochford for site visits and meetings
