Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct visits to proposed construction projects and meet with stakeholders.
  • Manage the full estimating process from initial enquiries to tender adjudication and submittal.
  • Estimate from first principles, including producing Bills of Quantities and Schedules of Work.
  • Perform site surveys and analyse project plans and specifications.
  • Extract relevant information from drawings and tender documents to calculate costs for materials, plant, labour, and sub-contract packages.
  • Obtain quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare tenders for adjudication with directors and submit final tenders.
  • Address post-tender queries and provide value engineering proposals.
  • Provide commercial support on live contracts, including pricing variations, preparing valuations, and assisting with subcontract procurement.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in the construction industry with experience in social housing, hospitals, and government projects. FRA, M&E and General building experience would help.
  • Excellent knowledge of estimating processes and project management.
  • Knowledge of Passive Fire Protection would be a bonus
  • Proficiency in reading and extracting information from drawings and tender documents.
