We are seeking a receptionist who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care and support. This role is integral to our front-of-house operations, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for our patients.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Confirm patient appointments using our database and medical record system.
  • Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the reception area to maintain a welcoming environment.
  • Handle telephone calls and respond to emails promptly.
  • Manage patient records, including checking in patients, verifying IDs, and processing payments.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise the highest level of discretion.
  • Assist with all administrative tasks related to the reception function, including managing medical forms and documents.
  • Engage in patient interaction and communication, ensuring all enquiries and concerns are addressed.
  • Maintain accounts and records related to payments and perform stock checking and control.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Friendly, efficient, with a strong command of English both written and spoken.
  • Competent with IT, including bespoke systems and Google/Microsoft Office.
  • Polite, courteous, discreet, empathetic, and calm under pressure.
  • Team player capable of multitasking, supporting colleagues, and demonstrating a can-do attitude.
  • Willingness to engage with the culture, direction, and aspirations of the business.

  • 20 days holiday plus Bank holidays, rising by 1 day per year up to five years.

Additional Information:

  • Flexibility of working hours is essential, including one Saturday morning in three and attendance at the monthly practice meeting.
