Responsibilities:


Join a dynamic team at Bridge of Allan as a Forklift and Shunter Driver! Reporting to the Despatch Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our operations run smoothly. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Manoeuvring goods around the site, into storage or loading bays, or to be picked up by other workers.
  • Loading and unloading materials from various locations using forklifts.
  • Moving pallet-packed materials around the site or storage facility.
  • Checking loads are secure and completing physical tasks quickly and accurately.
  • Ensuring the safe movement of large vehicles and trailers using a shunter vehicle.
  • Inspecting forklift and shunter vehicles for safety compliance.
  • Safely coupling, uncoupling, and parking trailers.
  • Implementing handover procedures when passing goods to other workers.
  • Adhering to health and safety policies, particularly related to Food Safety.
  • Engaging in yard cleaning and general site housekeeping.
  • Any other duties as required.

Knowledge & Experience:
To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience driving a forklift and a shunter vehicle.
  • The ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • The capacity to use your initiative effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, especially in conflict/pressurised situations.
