As part of continuedlong-term digital transformation they are looking to grow their permanenttechnology team. They have an immediaterequirement for an IT Asset Manager to join their Digital Services team whichcurrently numbers around 200. Theyemploy over 1100 staff across all departmentsAbout this Role:As the IT Asset Management (ITAM) Lead, you will beresponsible for overseeing all IT asset management activities across theorganization. Your role will involve optimizing the management of IT assetsthroughout their lifecycle, from acquisition to disposal. Collaborating closelywith Product Managers, you will ensure that they have the right IT assets tomeet current and future needs while minimizing costs, risks, and waste.Your focus will be onmaximizing IT asset value and return on investment by aligning assets withbusiness objectives, reducing unnecessary spending, and identifyingopportunities for reuse and redeployment. Additionally, you willminimize IT asset risks and liabilities through proper security, maintenance,and disposal practices, while effectively tracking and reporting on inventory,usage, and ownership. By providing accurate and reliable data and insights onasset performance, costs, and trends, you will support IT asset governance andstrategy, empowering informed decision-making and planning processes across theorganization.Main duties:

  • Oversee the asset discovery process to identify all IT assets within the organization.
  • Develop and implement an effective asset management strategy.
  • Build, maintain, and regularly update the company's IT asset (including but not limited to) hardware, software and certificate inventory.
  • Evaluate the organization's asset requirements and coordinate their acquisition.
  • Create, implement, and optimise policies for the acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of assets.
  • Ensure assets are compliant with organizational policies throughout their lifecycle.
  • Manage day-to-day asset processes including inbound/outbound deliveries and stock control
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder engagement with Service Desk, Procurement, IT Enablement, Estates and Domain teams
  • Continuous improvement of inventory management processes and practices
  • Develop opportunities for asset management in other areas within RoS and develop strategies to extend our principles and practices into those areas
  • Knowledge Base articles to be created, regularly reviewed, and updated for each process
