Hunter Selection are recruiting for a leading manufacturer in their respected field, who are looking to recruit a Design Engineer. This role will provide you with a flexible working pattern and the opportunity to work primarily from home, travelling to site once per week offering a superb work life balance. Role & Responsibilities:
- Prepare key documentation such as manufacturing drawings in 2D using software such as AutoCAD.
- Use a combination of specialist design software manual calculation sheets to produce mechanical calculations.
- Prepare Bill of Materials to hand over to the engineering team for purchasing.
- Coordinate and liaise with the engineering team and client's with regards to design information and design reviews.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Experience of designing with sheet metal .
- A minimum of 5 years design engineering experience.
- AutoCAD experience in 2D is essential. Designing in 3D is also preferable.
- Experience using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as a design method is preferable.
