MERJE is seeking a highly skilled Divisional Accountant for a 6 Month basis for our client, an award winning and leading name in the Property / Residential Development sector.

This role has come about as the current divisional accountant is set to work on a specific project for 6 months and offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the financial success of a renowned organisation.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of divisional accounting practices.

The Role

As an Interim Divisional Accountant, you will be reporting to the Finance Manager, and you would be contributing to the overall success of the business through supporting the Finance Director in the effective management of the finance team.

Key Responsibilities of the Interim Divisional Accountant:

  • Oversee financial reporting and analysis for the assigned division
  • Preparation of Management Accounts and Balance Sheets Recs
  • Undertaking weekly cashflow forecasting
  • VAT and CIS Returns
  • Yearend payroll submission data gathering and reporting data submission to the group
  • Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models
  • Collaborate with senior management to drive financial decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls and processes and systems

Required knowledge and experience for the Divisional Accountant role:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) and will consider QBE
  • COINS experience would be beneficial
  • Proven experience in divisional accounting within the construction or property sector
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
