MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT - 38-45Kpa - BIRMINGHAM - PERM
Greenwellgleeson is recruiting a Management Accountant for a long standing, well established business based in Birmingham. Our client is looking for a progressive candidate who is ambitious with experience in Managements Accounts.
Duties & Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of monthly management accounts and KPI's, including balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments.

Assist in the preparation of the year end accounts for audit.

Assist in the annual budget process, producing reports to assist managers in preparation of their departmental budget.

Analysing overheads, investigate variances versus the annual budget/forecast.

Analysing and evaluating job costs against the company's internal costing matrix, highlighting and reporting variances in a timely manner to the Client Services Team.

Guiding and assisting the transactional team and providing cover as and when necessary.

Assist in the preparation of the monthly payroll.

Business partnering with Departmental Managers on projects and cost saving initiatives.

Producing and submitting quarterly VAT returns.

Ad-hoc duties and requests
Skills Required:
-
Minimum of 3 years' experience of working in a Finance environment and exposure to management accounts reporting.

High level of accuracy and efficiency.
-
Ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
Intermediate excel skills, the ability to do Vlookups and pivot tables.
