MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT - 38-45Kpa - BIRMINGHAM - PERM

Greenwellgleeson is recruiting a Management Accountant for a long standing, well established business based in Birmingham. Our client is looking for a progressive candidate who is ambitious with experience in Managements Accounts.

Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and KPI's, including balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments.

  • Assist in the preparation of the year end accounts for audit.

  • Assist in the annual budget process, producing reports to assist managers in preparation of their departmental budget.

  • Analysing overheads, investigate variances versus the annual budget/forecast.

  • Analysing and evaluating job costs against the company's internal costing matrix, highlighting and reporting variances in a timely manner to the Client Services Team.

  • Guiding and assisting the transactional team and providing cover as and when necessary.

  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly payroll.

  • Business partnering with Departmental Managers on projects and cost saving initiatives.

  • Producing and submitting quarterly VAT returns.

  • Ad-hoc duties and requests

Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience of working in a Finance environment and exposure to management accounts reporting.

  • High level of accuracy and efficiency.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload.

Intermediate excel skills, the ability to do Vlookups and pivot tables.
