We are currently recruiting a Band 6 Physiotherapist for an NHS Trust in the West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated professional to join a dynamic team dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to patients.

Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and innovative Physiotherapist who is driven to implement change and service development while expanding their own and others' knowledge and skills across the service. You will need a flexible approach, excellent teamwork, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Be responsible for maintaining accurate, confidential, and comprehensive patient treatment records in line with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) Standards of Practice, Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) standards of conduct, and Trust documentation policies.
  • Actively participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and integrate physiotherapy treatment into the overall treatment program. This may include discussing patient care, patient progress, and involvement in discharge planning from the healthcare provider setting.
  • Be an active member of the respiratory on-call evening and weekend service, as well as the weekend physiotherapy service, following the completion of necessary training and achieving the required competency levels.
  • When working out of hours, undertake the assessment and treatment of acutely ill patients with respiratory problems and maintain associated records as an autonomous practitioner, with support always being available.
  • When working out of hours, provide feedback to medical, nursing, and other members of the multi-disciplinary team regarding patients' respiratory functioning.
  • Ensure that your own practice meets the level of competency required by professional standards of physiotherapy practice.

Requirements:

  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Evidence of professional development.
  • Previous community experience.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team (MDT).
  • Completed a minimum of one rotation providing cover to Acute Medical Wards.
  • Possess knowledge and skills for assessing and treating clients in a wide range of clinical settings.
  • Understanding of clinical governance and audit.
