Sales Director - Automotive - Midlands based

Salary £70,000 per annum + £10,000 Bonus, + Company Car & Excellent company benefits

Working Relationships:

The position reports to the UK Managing Director. The role will involve direct contact with Distributors and end-user customers and all members of the team including International colleagues.

The position has line responsibility for a 2 tier National team of 6 Technical Sales Engineers.

Duties:

  • To work with the Managing Director to develop the agreed strategy.
  • To implement the sales concept in a structured way commensurate with building and developing technical products
  • Energising and developing Distributors
  • To build relationships with major end users.
  • To acquire and maintain a working knowledge of technical products.
  • Working closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to devise and implement a powerful marketing package
  • To share best practice with opposite numbers in other European markets
  • To acquire appropriate product knowledge
  • Developing and building excellence in the sales and support team
  • UK Travel developing business with Distributors and End Users

Experience required:

  • Educated to degree level / equivalent
  • Proven success with route to market via Distributors - essential
  • Proven success within Sales at Director/Regional or Management level
  • Progressive work history in Sales
  • Management experience
  • Ability to develop strategy, Sales plans and profit targets
  • Ability to lead and develop the Sales team
  • Ability to develop/implement and lead strategic Marketing plans
  • Ability to deliver a cohesive long-term growth plan
  • Relationship builder
  • Ability to elevate the visibility and profitability of the organisation
  • Comfortable to deliver clear concepts for long term brand growth
  • Comfortable with technical products

Salary up to c £70k plus £10k bonus
