Business Development Manager - Working for a market leading Manufacturing/Engineering and Distribution company with various sites across the UK.

Salary £60,000 - £70,000 basic with OTE, company car, car allowance and other fantastic company benefits!

As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Identify new sales opportunities and be responsible for all tender submissions associated across the industrial and Commercial business units
  • Achieve sales targets, profit and growth for designated customers and territories to support the business units AOP
  • Understand, articulate, and sell the companies range of solutions to new & identified customers
  • Maintenance and development of account plans for all new & targeted customers
  • Attending and preparing quarterly operational reviews with key clients.
  • Delivering gold standard customer satisfaction to support retention and growth
  • To oversee the development of a consistently growing sales pipeline, turning each targeted order into firm business as opportunity allows
  • To identify how best to work with customers so that the company become their Business Partner, rather than a contracted supplier
  • Document and maintain the sales pipeline, reporting status of opportunities to management as necessary
  • Communicate upcoming opportunities to the projects & support teams to assist with scheduling and prioritisation of workloads
  • Interaction with the sector leads for defining targets and capabilities

Skills, Experience and Education

  • You will have a proven track record of successfully developing business and sales opportunities within the industrial and commercial market places
  • You will have experience of completing, managing and delivering tender responses
  • Specific technical qualifications are not critical, but a "can do" attitude is
  • Willingness and the ability to travel both within the UK and across wider Europe to support and develop business is important
  • Self-organiser & self-motivator
  • Strong communicator with excellent presentation skills
  • Team player
  • Sales skills
  • Commercial awareness
  • Professional in appearance and telephone & written manner
  • Full Driving License
  • Able to take initiative and fantastic attention to detail
