Next Generation are proud to have been appointed to recruit for a Business Development Manager to work with the UK’s leading manufacturer of high integrity fastener solutions, based near Dudley the Business Development Manager will be responsible for creating new sales opportunities and fostering relationships with clients in order to successfully achieve monthly/annual sales targets.

Working hours of the Business Development Manager:

  • Monday - Friday (7.30am - 16.00pm)

Duties of the Business Development Manager:

  • Pro-actively generate new business opportunities, through one’s own initiative and where necessary with the support and direction of the team to develop the core propositions and generate and close new business leads.
  • Work with cross functional departments such as Workstream Managers and their teams to develop new markets and territories.
  • Development brand awareness of the company with target customer base across the designated region (promoting with the use of Social Media outlets).
  • Identifying key exhibitions, conferences and seminars to attend/exhibit
  • Quoting first time RFQ’s, negotiating and winning new business
  • Managing handover of RFQ’s and PO’s to the account managers

The successful candidate for the Business Development Managers position will have the following experience:

  • Experience selling directly to Oil and Gas & OEM’s (Essential)
  • Selling machined components, ideally turned part (Essential)
  • Experience selling metals (Esstential)
  • Ability to travel (Essential)
  • 3 - 5 years’ working within a fast paced sales environment (Essential)
  • Previous experience working within a precision manufacturing environment (Essential)
  • Absolute understanding of the sales cycle (Essential)
  • Managing high level commercial relationships (Essential)
