Proximity Recruitment are searching for a talented Head of Product Management (up to £80,000 + Car + Benefits) to join a global building materials business in the West Midlands. The role heads up the division, will develop a portfolio & team as well as support strategic cross-functional projects within the group.

The opportunity offers hybrid working 2 days a week at home.

Responsibilities include:

  • New product enhancements & development; setting & delivering the strategy of new product/product improvement introduction, robust end to end commercial assessments for projects as well as sponsoring and participating in agreed project teams.
  • Product lifecycle analysis; review & understand the historical context of the product lifecycles for the value added product portfolio.
  • Understand & reconcile the current product performance & develop future product roadmaps.
  • Product portfolio management; working with commercial colleagues, tracks performance of the product portfolio.
  • Recommending changes to the delivery plan & challenge and initiate activity to maximise sales & enhance profitability.
  • Commercial awareness; understand the current & anticipated market dynamics for the product portfolio in collaboration with the marketing & commercial teams to identify & anticipate market opportunities & challenges.
  • Proposition development & delivery; crafts the value proposition & narrative for the target product portfolios for the identified target markets & key audiences. Work in collaboration with CX lead, Sales team & Marketing Managers to test propositions to ensure validity.

The successful candidate would be owning an increasingly sustainable product portfolio, differentiate tactics depending on the product project & strategically shaping the division including growing the team (currently 1) & working closely with senior stakeholders.
