Joint Safeguarding Business Manager

Role Overview:This vital partnership role involves close interagency collaboration to help prevent and reduce abuse, neglect, and exploitation of both children and adults — ultimately improving outcomes for vulnerable service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion the safeguarding of vulnerable children, young people, and adults at risk
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships to drive better outcomes through the work of the DSPPB and its collaborative arrangements
  • Lead on both strategic and operational safeguarding partnership activity across the council
  • Oversee the strategic development of multi-agency workforce development, including commissioning, managing, and evaluating safeguarding training and development programmes
  • Lead on the Quality Assurance Framework to monitor and improve multi-agency safeguarding activity for both children and adults
  • Promote and embed safeguarding practices within the Council and across the wider partnership
