JOB ADVERT - CNC SETTER

West Midlands

Days 7am- 3pm Monday - Thursday

7am - 1pm Friday

Our client, a leading UK Aluminium sand casting foundry with machining and metrology expertise, is seeking a CNC Setter to join their team. With extensive experience in producing a wide range of components for ICE, EV, aero, and defence applications, our client is recognised for their commitment to quality and holds IATF16949, ISO14001, and JOSCAR accreditations.

As a CNC Setter, you will be based at our client's laboratory, Working in a small machine shop, you will play a crucial role in the production process by performing precision machining on roughly machined aluminium bars to create standard tensile testing samples.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating and maintaining Pilar drill, laith, Mazac CNC, band saw, and other general hand tools.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality requirements in alignment with our client's UKAS accreditation.
  • Performing changeover and setting on Mazak machines as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a machinist/setter is essential.
  • Proficiency in operating Pilar drill, laith, Mazac CNC, band saw, and general hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

This is a temporary position with the potential for permanent employment, and the rates will be discussed during the interview stage.
