6 Month Contract

Midlands/Warwick (Hybrid working)

Job Purpose

Our Control Rooms are critical to enable us to monitor, control and manage safety on the system 24/7 without fail and are essential for the business delivering its core outcomes.

To provide robust weekly/monthly reporting and analysis against programme plan to assist key decision making for corrective action/delivery performance.

Manage the collective plans in an overarching master programme plan, incorporating and evaluating submitted contractual plans

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and manage the overall programme plan with key deliverables/milestones/critical path's visible through all phases of the programme (end to end).
  • Define project planning standards / processes, in accordance with our standards, that all projects within programme must adhere to.
  • Work with Project Managers within the programme to ensure project plans align to Programme Governance and update programme plan to reflect status of project.
  • Ensure accurate assessment and communication of progress against baseline project plans is correct.
  • Report key milestone progress and deviations from the baselined plan and resource constraints.
  • Provide weekly/monthly analysis and reporting as required within programme.
  • Continuously review and improve processes to drive value and establish best practice planning and controls.
  • Evaluate monthly contractor programme submissions and provide appropriate recommendations.
  • Analysis of the critical path and interfaces between plans and the contractor
  • Review compensation event impacting programmes and support on recovery strategies.

Knowledge/Experience

  • Leadership of a planning capability in either a portfolio or programme capacity
  • Knowledge of the range of roles performed by the PMO within a complex programme.
  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders to understand their requirements and set clear expectations.
  • Experience in Construction &/or Business Change programmes.
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts processes
  • Experience using P6 planning & MS project
