Our client is a rapidly changing hotel business looking for an ambitious Director of Revenue to join their team on a permanent basis, based remotely anywhere from the UK with travel to the Midlands required once a month.

This job would suit someone with 5-7 years of experience in revenue management within the hospitality industry, preferably with a hotel group of less than 50 properties. They will be responsible for the strategic orientation of the hotels in order to ensure the maximisation of total revenue and market share.

This is a leading hotel brand with sites across the UK and Europe offering luxury, exceptional service, and breathtaking locations. They are currently developing the technology across the business having brought in a new senior management team in 2023.

The successful individual will be a highly analytical and experienced revenue management professional with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and improving financial performance. They will have proven experience in managing relationships with General Managers and influencing property-level strategies with a track record of achieving success in high-pressure environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to build effective relationships with stakeholders. Proficiency in revenue management systems (RMS) and related software is also a requirement.

Duties will include:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive revenue management strategies to maximise RevPAR and profitability across all properties.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and economic factors to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Conduct regular revenue meetings with GMs to review performance, set targets, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Commercial Officer to align revenue strategies with the overall commercial objectives of the group.
  • Utilise data-driven insights to forecast demand, optimise pricing, and manage inventory effectively.
  • Ensure the seamless integration of revenue management with sales, marketing, and distribution channels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with General Managers to ensure alignment on revenue goals and operational execution.
  • Provide training and support to property-level revenue teams to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Utilise revenue management systems and tools to generate reports and insights.
  • Implement best practices in revenue management and stay updated with industry developments.
  • Lead and mentor a team of revenue managers and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Encourage innovation and the adoption of new technologies and methodologies in revenue management.
