We’re currently supporting a leading international business in their search for an interim Commercial Finance Business Partner to join their FP&A team.

This opportunity is a true blend of FP&A, Analytics and Commercial Finance, with a strong emphasis on pricing analytics. The successful candidate will work closely with senior commercial stakeholders to bring clarity, structure and strategic insight to their pricing strategy and commercial reporting framework.

The Role

As Commercial Finance Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing pricing insight, performance analysis and strategic decision-making across the region.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and owning the Price-Volume-Mix (PVM) analysis: You’ll deep-dive into product-level profitability by examining material costs, labour rates, bills of materials and key cost drivers

  • Interpreting complex product attributes and identifying the commercial levers that drive margin variance

  • Reviewing and challenging the current pricing strategy across the European business – including customer discount structures, rebate logic, and price scheduling mechanisms

  • Leading forecast/budget cycles for commercial performance across the EU region
  • Working cross-functionally to assess how pricing is captured, applied and reported across systems and operational processes

  • Standardising financial processes and ensuring accuracy, consistency, and transparency
  • Translating large and complex data sets into clear, actionable insights using BI tools (Power BI / Tableau / similar), ultimately creating intuitive dashboards and reporting packs for senior stakeholders

  • Driving forecasting and budgeting processes related to sales, margin and pricing – ensuring clarity, consistency and predictability of commercial performance

  • Supporting the broader commercial and finance teams with scenario modelling, margin bridge analysis, and strategic business partnering

What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / ACA / CIMA or equivalent)

  • Experience in both commercial finance business partnering and FP&A roles

  • Strong analytical background with a proven track record in pricing analytics and PVM

  • Confident navigating product costing, BOMs, and identifying key drivers of margin and profitability

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, matrix-led, multinational environment

  • Hands-on experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake or similar)

  • Strong communication and business partnering skills – able to work cross-functionally with both finance and non-finance stakeholder

Location & Working Pattern
  • Hybrid model: typically 2–3 days in the office per week - West Midlands
