Job Overview

We have an opportunity for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our physical health teams in the Midlands. We are looking for individuals with a professional approach, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude towards multidisciplinary team collaboration and person-centred care.

The rotation currently includes:

  • 9 months on sub-acute physical health rehabilitation wards at the Evington Centre.

  • 9 months with the Home First and Community Therapy Service.

There are plans to expand the rotation in the future to include additional areas.

Role Responsibilities

This role offers the opportunity to gain various clinical skills in both physical and community settings.

  • Inpatient Setting: Support patient discharge and system flow while using occupational therapy skills to improve outcomes. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team within an established, supportive, and welcoming group of Occupational Therapists.

  • Community Setting: Provide a professional OT service while managing an agreed caseload under senior staff supervision. Apply the OT process within an MDT format and deliver services in diverse settings, requiring adaptability and problem-solving skills.

Requirements
  • Strong clinical skills in assessing and treating a range of conditions.

  • Ability to develop and implement effective rehabilitation and discharge plans.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Experience with community-based pathways is advantageous.
