- Triaging referrals to assess risk and determine the appropriate level of intervention.
- Conducting MASH enquiries, including speaking with parents and professionals.
- Making threshold recommendations to determine if statutory assessment is required.
- Providing guidance and direction to MASH Officers (call handlers).
- No home visits – all work is office-based.
- Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partner agencies.
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Experience in child protection, safeguarding, and MASH processes. Previous MASH experience required.
- Ability to make quick, informed decisions based on risk assessment.
- Strong understanding of Children’s Social Care thresholds and statutory requirements.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with multiple agencies.
