Operating Environment
- The MEH programme is in delivery phase to ramp up the installation on site. As such the spotlight will fall on the installation of NSSS scope;
- The “Piping Installation Supervisor” reports functionally to the “NSSS Lead Project Manager”;
- The current team size is 8 persons; however, this will grow to match the workload on site and will involve operational leadership;
- As this is a front-line site delivery role, there is a necessity to work flexibility working under the time pressure of the schedule in order to unblock technical issues to allow continuity of work by the installation teams.
Frameworks and Boundaries
- The “Piping Installation Supervisor” is part of a wider team reporting to the NSSS Lead Project Manager delivering the NSSS scope.
- She / He has counterparts with the NSSS contractor black hat, who is leading the blue collar on contractor side in his area.
- It expected from the “Piping Installation Supervisor” to have very close collaboration with with Construction Team, Area Management, MEH Alliance.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Manages the safety of his activities in line with the CDM Regulations.
- First contact in safety matter on site with authority over Contractor to stop work.
- Participates the weekly safety tour, for example.
- Enforces the installation requirement on site with authority over Contractor.
- Daily authority for maintaining preservation and cleanliness.
- Escalate the issue from other contractors (opening, grating, clash with MEH)
- Lead the transfer of room (TAC).
- Alerts the Piping Project Manager in case of drift.
- Ensures interfaces within NNB, mainly with MEHA and the access / scaffolding, and manages contingencies, notably through participation in the daily coordination meeting with the Contractor Superintendent.
- Monitors the conformity of work progress on site (excluding documentation) with the 4 Weeks Look Ahead Time-Schedule, focusing on critical activities according to the decided formalism.
- Controls work progress and ensures the clearance of site blockage points under NNB's responsibility.
- Specifically responsible for implementing permit to work (fire, height…) based on CDM regulations according to planning needs upon Contractor request.
- Reports progress to his Project Manager and Site Lead Supervisor according to the decided formalism.
- Check the implementation of the Open Points (NCR, FCR, RFI)
- Implement the supervision programme for piping activities
- Validate on site at the end of installation by conducting random checking activities.
