About the Role:

Join the team at Hinkley Point C, the UK's first new-build nuclear power station in a generation, playing a key role in supporting the UK's NetZero targets. As a Temporary Works Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of temporary works on site, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance with BS 5975: 2019.

In this role, you'll work closely with contractors, engineers, and various stakeholders, manage documentation, and lead a team of Temporary Works Supervisors. This is a critical position, focused on ensuring both the safety and successful completion of temporary works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Temporary Works: Oversee all aspects of temporary works packages, ensuring compliance with BS 5975: 2019.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with contractors and stakeholders to meet project safety, quality, and legislative requirements.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to CDM Regulations 2015 and related standards, maintaining high safety and quality benchmarks.
  • Reporting: Coordinate with the Temporary Works Designated Individual and Temporary Works Lead to ensure proper documentation and execution of tasks.
  • Mentorship: Lead and develop a team of Temporary Works Supervisors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify potential issues and provide solutions to ensure alignment with project goals and safety standards.
  • Expert Advice: Offer guidance on temporary works to project teams and participate in relevant meetings and workshops.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of construction techniques and temporary works.
  • Strong understanding of BS 5975: 2019.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Lead Temporary Works Coordinator in an engineering construction environment.
  • CITB Temporary Works Coordinator certification.
  • Familiarity with CDM Regulations design obligations and experience managing complex temporary works projects.
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable:

  • Confined Spaces certification.
  • Experience working on the Hinkley Point C site or similar projects.
