Materials Controller
Salary: 35,000 - 45,000
Location: Hinkley Point C Site

Hinkley Point C is the UK's first new nuclear power station in a generation, playing a critical role in the country's Net Zero targets. We are seeking a Materials Controller to join this prestigious project, where safety, quality, and teamwork are paramount.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and collaborating with internal teams and suppliers. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are essential. Nuclear experience is not mandatory, but relevant industry knowledge and transferable skills are highly valued.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with procurement teams.
  • Collaborate with suppliers for quotes, purchase orders, and on-time material deliveries.
  • Analyse project plans to determine material needs and implement effective planning strategies.
  • Optimise warehouse organisation and ensure materials meet quality standards.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and material usage.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.


Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Qualification in business, procurement, or relevant construction discipline.
  • IOSH Managing Safely preferred; CCNSG or HSE MaPs Safety Passport required.
  • Experience in materials coordination, inventory management, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and supply chain processes.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of UK health and safety legislation related to plant, tools, and equipment.
