Quality Control Assistant

Shift Based 8 Hours Rotating Days/Lates/Nights

Starting at £26,500 increasing to £27,700 on completion of training/probation + Benefits & Career Progression

We currently have an opportunity within Quality team at our Bridgwater site (TA6) easily accessed via M5.


Purpose of job/mission:

Reporting to the Site Quality Manager, as part of the Quality Department and supporting the Production Team, the successful candidate will be.

Responsible for ensuring bottles are manufactured to Customer Specification and fit for purpose, including the elimination of any Food Safety concerns to the consumer.


Key Duties

  • Inspection and Test of Production
  • Reporting any deviances and undertaking follow up actions
  • Data collection for analysis against KPIs
  • Carry out Audits of site Integrated Management System
  • As part of a team, carry out investigation of non-conformance and production failures, in order to establish root cause and agree corrective action
  • Participate in the team review of HACCP Food Hygiene and Safety system

Key Requirements

  • Good academic levels in, English, Maths and Science
  • IT literate, familiar with Microsoft Office / Outlook
  • Reliable, self-motivated, with a resourceful approach to work and excellent attendance record

Desirable (Training will be given for all aspects of the position)

  • Experience of working FMCG manufacturing Environment and knowledge of IMS management Systems
