Mechanical Design Engineer

I am recruiting on behalf of a growing industrial water treatment company that designs and supplies pure and wastewater systems across the UK and internationally. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team, working from their offices in Somerset.

This role is a great opportunity for someone with SolidWorks expertise, ideally with AutoCAD Lite or other recognized drawing packages experience. It could suit someone early in their career or with a couple of years of experience, looking to grow within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities?? Produce P&ID, layout, and general arrangement drawings.?? Develop a 3D library for standard plant items.?? Work closely with the projecting team to deliver accurate and high-quality designs.?? Liaise with clients on design details.?? Ensure quality control and validation of manufactured designs.

What We’re Looking For?? Degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Design Engineering (preferred but not essential).?? Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks and MS AutoCAD Lite (or similar).?? Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.?? A proactive approach to learning and self-development.
