Job Purpose / Overview
Join the pioneering Hinkley Point C (HPC) project, the UK's first nuclear power station in a generation and one of the largest infrastructure projects in Europe. As part of the Operational Control Centre (OCC) and Commissioning/Pre-Operations (Comm-Op's) team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the project's success as it transitions into operation.

We are looking for Work Management Engineers, Work Order Specifiers, and Commissioning Engineers with Electrical, Controls, and Instrumentation (EC&I) expertise to support the commissioning and pre-operations work management processes. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a groundbreaking nuclear new build project and develop your career in one of the UK's most dynamic and vital sectors

Principal Accountabilities
As a Work Management Engineer, you'll assist in developing and implementing work management processes and tools, ensuring the delivery of commissioning and pre-operations milestones. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Commissioning Work Specification: Define and specify commissioning work order cards tailored to specific commissioning activities.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with commissioning teams and other stakeholders to address and resolve open points.
* Asset Management: Support the development and integration of routine maintenance activities into the Enterprise Asset Management System.
* Standards Development: Contribute to the creation of standards, procedures, and arrangements in alignment with WANO AP928 guidelines for safe and reliable operation.
* Process Improvement: Drive the development and implementation of efficient planning, work management, and operational processes.
* Technical Oversight: Provide input into operational station routine maintenance requirements and equipment reliability for nuclear and conventional systems.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Equipment Reliability, Supply Chain, and Pre-Operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of project objectives.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
* Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent in a science or engineering discipline.
* Experience in commissioning or maintenance within a regulated industrial environment, ideally with Electrical, Controls, and Instrumentation systems.
* Proficiency in asset management tools (e.g., Asset Suite), data reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
* Experience writing maintenance instructions, risk assessments, and familiarity with safety processes such as APSA (Authorised Persons Safety Assessment).
* Clear written and verbal communication skills and strong organisational abilities.
* Familiarity with maintenance manuals, system design documents, and engineering drawings.

Desirable:
* Experience with commissioning processes on nuclear or highly regulated sites.
* Knowledge of WANO AP928 work management processes and nuclear power station license conditions.
* Awareness of the UK's existing nuclear generation fleet and associated compliance regulations.
