We are working with an award winning Education provider in the area of Bridgwater, Somerset. They are looking for an Office Manager to add to their team. Directly managing the school office, receptionists and housekeeping team, overseeing the day to day administrative function, including whole company admin, customer service, reception and telephony, visitor management, event management. This is a new role as they are going through a phase of expansion. The role is term time only over 39 weeks.

Main Duties

  • Lead all administrative activity, ensuring the delivery of an excellent, efficient, customer focused admin service

  • Manage, supervise and delegate work on a day to basis, and quality assure the work of admin, reception and housekeeping staff.

  • Manage the Education office, provide support to the Senior Leadership Group (SLG), and members of the wider team to ensure effective communication between the company and parents.

  • Ensure the reception and front of house area is kept clean and tidy, with no files or stationery visible to school visitors and that a clean desk policy is adhered to at the end of the working day.

  • Ensure that all data relating to students held on the office system is accurate and up to date.

  • Ensure that parent consultation, information evenings, Induction of new students etc, are prepared as directed by year head’s or SLT and staffed accordingly.

  • Input data and generate reports and information as required.

Person Spec

  • Working in an office environment at a Senior level
  • Competent use of IT packages including Word processing, spreadsheets, computerised accounting systems
  • Experience of taking minutes
  • Experience of Proof reading
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise
  • Excellent attention to detail

The position is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure.

Salary: £28-35.5K per annum DOE

Hours: 37.5 hours Term Time only - 39 weeks per year
