Quality Management Lead

Description & Background:

At Hinkley Point C, we are at the forefront of nuclear energy quality assurance. Join our Quality Management Team and play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across the entire project lifecycle. As a Quality Management Lead, you'll be the single point of contact for quality-related elements, acting as an 'Intelligent Customer' to ensure supply chain adherence to quality requirements across design, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with HPC Project quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle
  • Review, accept, and monitor Contractors Quality Assurance Plans
  • Identify and engage Supply Chain Auditors
  • Produce Project Quality Control Plans for each contract
  • Implement key quality arrangements including quality assurance specifications
  • Lead implementation of Lifetime Quality Records reviews
  • Conduct manufacturing surveillance
  • Monitor and resolve non-conformances
  • Coordinate manufacturing documentation review
  • Perform joint inspections as required
  • Support technical resolution of quality-related issues
  • Produce quality documentation
  • Ensure Right First Time (RFT) delivery of products and services

Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience in project delivery, preferably in nuclear power sector
  • Strong understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control in complex projects
  • Proven track record in quality management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to interface with project teams and supply chain organizations
  • Proven leadership in quality assurance environments
  • HNC/HND or degree in relevant science or engineering
  • Experience in resolving issues in multi-cultural environments
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Analytical skills with report preparation and recommendation capabilities
  • Knowledge of nuclear sector and site license conditions
  • Understanding of pressure and nuclear codes
  • Knowledge of Welding, Non-Destructive Testing
  • Professional accreditation
  • Chartered Quality Institute membership

  • Based in Bristol, HPC Site, Paris Manufacturing Hub, and/or Contractor locations
