Are you a Project Manager looking for a new role?

A leading multi-disciplinary design & build contractor is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Project Manager to join their team for an exciting project within the new Turbine Hall at Hinkley Point C Nuclear New Build in Somerset on a permanent staff basis.

This Project Manager role involves overseeing electrical installations, cable pulling, prefabrication, and instrumentation installation. As a Project Manager, you will report directly to the Project Director, providing leadership to on-site teams and ensuring smooth operations.


Key Responsibilities: Project Manager

  • Ensuring a safe working culture, compliance with health and safety regulations, and conducting risk assessments.
  • Scheduling, workface planning, and supervising daily tasks to meet project milestones.
  • Leading site teams, assigning tasks, mentoring apprentices, and fostering productivity.
  • Ensuring all installations meet project standards and industry regulations.
  • Identifying resource needs, coordinating work packages, and resolving scheduling conflicts.
  • Maintaining documentation, approving material requisitions, and reporting on progress.


Key Requirements: Project Manager

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within construction or engineering.
  • Strong understanding of project construction, safety programs, and worksite procedures.
  • Ability to read drawings, interpret specifications, and manage schedules.
  • Leadership & problem-solving skills with the ability to coach and mentor teams.
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks, reporting, and using digital tools for project management.
  • Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • CILM Training completed.
  • CSCS Managers & Professionals or CCNSG certification.
  • Eligible for BPSS Security Vetting.
  • IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications (desirable).
