My client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team at Hinkley Point C. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a £85m E&I project in the UKs largest nuclear new build project.  Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the construction team is achieving best value to meet commercial targets.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual processes and commercial governance.
  • Support contract production and negotiations to secure the best terms.
  • Prepare monthly site valuation and work progress reports.
  • Assist in evaluating and preparing project payment applications.
  • Verify sub-contractor monthly claims and be responsible for site measurement.
  • Ensure all pricing documents, bills of quantities (BQ), contract documents, and quotations are in order.
  • Responsible for the costing and preparation of pricing documents for submission.
  • Monitor and control project budgets and cash flow, ensuring accurate forecasting to meet business expectations.
  • Coordinate with contractors and site personnel to support reporting to the Senior Team.
  • Support head office in managing compliant material purchasing.
  • Liaise with site teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
 Key Skills & Competencies:
  • Commercial focus and strong commercial acumen.
  • FIDIC and NEC contract experience.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Chartered or working towards Chartered status.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Quantity Surveyor role on large projects.
