Family Support Worker - Children, North Somerset - £22 Hourly - 3 MonthsSeven Resourcing is currently recruiting for a Family Support Worker to join the Children with Disabilities team in North Somerset. As a Family Support Worker, you will build constructive relationships with families, adopting a strengths-based approach to help foster positive behavioural changes while focusing on safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.What you will do:
- Develop effective and purposeful relationships with parents, children, and young people, using a strength-based methodology to encourage behavioural change, backed by a commitment to child safeguarding.
- Collaborate with other agencies and social workers to assess and plan suitable support, continually reviewing families’ strengths and risks with the Signs of Safety and trauma-informed approaches.
- Provide community-based support and opportunities for children and their families, ensuring children live within their family settings wherever possible.
- Facilitate referrals or direct parents to other services, both generic and specialist, with consent.
Applicant Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience as a family support worker, specifically working with children with disabilities.
- Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ.
- Compliance: Enhanced DBS check and Right to Work in the UK.
- Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week.
- Travel: Full UK driving licence required.
