They are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Buyer to join their team. 

The Role:

As a Senior Buyer, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement of materials, components, and services to ensure the smooth operation of the manufacturing process. You will work closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and the wider procurement team to drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, and contribute to the overall success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for key categories to meet business objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best value for the company.
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and trends in the industry.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and finance to support business needs.
  • Manage inventory levels to optimise stock while minimising costs.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement within the procurement function.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Buyer, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favourable terms with suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to analyse market trends and data to inform procurement decisions.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
