Modern Edge Recruitment are currently looking for Maintanance Engineer

  • Ensure that all plant equipment and machinery is kept in good working order.
  • Carry out all planned preventative maintenance as requested.
  • Prioritise and carry out emergency breakdown maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
  • To carry out TPM requirements as necessary.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork associated with the task you are performing in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Report any problems regarding equipment and machinery immediately to the Maintenance Manager or the designated deputy.
  • Ensure that you are aware of all legal and Company standards and procedures with regards to Health & Safety and that you adhere to them at all times.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes cooperation with colleagues.
  • Actively take part in any training requested to enhance your role.
  • Be prepared to work overtime as and when required.
  • To carry out the required maintenance activities during the company shutdown periods.

Qualifications:

  • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.
  • City and Guilds or equivalent.
  • Worked in a CNC machine environment or similar.
  • Experience in hydraulics and pneumatics and electrical fault finding.
  • Experience in welding and general fabrication work.
  • Experience in sand conveyors, shot blasts, fettling equipment desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to read and work closely with drawings
