Our client, a well-established leader in the stock and distribution industry, specialises in supplying high-quality materials and components to the aerospace manufacturing sector. With a reputation for delivery excellence, they are seeking a confident Quality Manager with experience in aerospace manufacturing to join their team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance in a demanding industry.


The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality management within the organisation, ensuring that all materials and components supplied meet the rigorous standards required by the aerospace manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will be expected to manage and enhance the company's quality control processes and ensure compliance with both client and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain robust Quality Management Systems (QMS) in accordance with industry standards, particularly AS9100 and/or AS9120
  • Manage the entire quality assurance process, from incoming stock inspection to final distribution, ensuring alignment with aerospace manufacturing specifications.
  • Conduct regular audits and root cause analyses, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary to drive continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure materials meet aerospace quality requirements.
  • Lead quality initiatives and provide technical guidance to operational teams to promote adherence to quality processes.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding quality issues, ensuring client expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Remain up to date with the latest developments in aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Reducing NCRs and customer complaints, dealing directly with the customers face to face to manage and rectify quality related issues.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in quality management within the aerospace manufacturing industry, coupled with a strong track record of ensuring compliance and driving quality improvements.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum experience in a quality management role within the aerospace manufacturing sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of AS9100 / AS9120 / ISO 9001, and other relevant quality standards for aerospace applications.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with experience in driving quality initiatives and managing complex quality processes.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both internal teams and external clients.
