Finance Business Partner – Brigg, North Lincolnshire

Elevation Senior Finance are delighted to be appointed as the exclusive recruitment partner to a successful food manufacturing businessas in their search for a Finance Business Partner to be based at their head office site in Brigg, North Lincolnshire.

Operating out of modern offices with a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility they have been a market leader in the roasting and supply of coffee for over 3 decades. Over that time, the business has experienced significant growth, and that has accelerated in the last few years. Now led by an entrepreneurial and ambitious leadership team, the business has big plans for further expansion. These plans have been underpinned by significant investment across the business, accentuating what is an exciting time to join the company!

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Finance Business Partner will play an integral role in supporting the future success of the organisation. You will work closely with the operational and commercial teams, providing them with financial insight that will support their decision making and drive business performance. The role will be extremely varied with responsibilities to include:

  • Support the optimisation of a newly implemented ERP & BI systems. Take a lead role in creating insightful information and change management to improve business performance
  • Analysis of financial and business data to assess and challenge performance, and to assist management decision making
  • Evolve and embed recently implemented standard costing methodology, throughout the organisation
  • Support Sales and Operations teams, in new business development and commercial pricing, planning and forecasting
  • Provide analysis of factory performance and recommend improvements
  • Lead in process development and working with management to drive meaningful insights and control to support and influence business performance
  • Support, drive, and lead projects as required to deliver business improvement including Finance led initiatives through to providing finance support to operational or customer facing projects
  • As part of a small, focussed, team, assist the wider Finance team members with ad hoc duties as required and be happy to act as cover and support to broader finance activities.

Key skills / qualifications required:

  • Naturally inquisitive with a mind set to ask why
  • A desire to get involved and make things happen
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Analytically minded with the ability to turn data into insight and action
  • Experience and understanding of process manufacturing and standard costing methodology
  • Good knowledge and experience of ERP & reporting systems. MS Dynamics & Power BI experience is desired but not essential
  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or qualified by experience
  • Manufacturing sector experience would be preferable although not essential
