JHE & Partners are excited to be working with a great client as they look to recruit an ambitious, motivated Financial Controller to be based at their offices in Brighouse. The company have an incredible culture, have experienced significant growth over the last 5 years and have exciting plans to continue that into 2025 and beyond.

The role will work closely with senior management, offering an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the UK numbers, whilst supporting the Group CFO and CEO with projects across the whole business. The Financial Controller will take full responsibility for the provision of all financial data, cashflow and budgets as required by the UK company to enable the efficient and timely reporting, control and management of all aspects of the business and to actively contribute to the senior management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management
  • Act as an integral part of the Finance and Management team, providing financial support and control to the business
  • Take responsibility for all aspects of corporate and internal reporting, ensuring adherence to deadlines, financial accuracy, and completeness
  • Oversee and complete month-end processes, including variance analysis
  • Report on business performance (actuals, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis) using financial systems
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of budgets and forecasts for p&l, cash flow and the balance sheet
  • Manage and lead an established Finance Assistant
  • Oversee key KPIs such as Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable ageing, driving improvements and efficiencies
  • Lead continuous improvements to financial controls and other operational processes
  • Perform product profitability analysis and reviews
  • Work closely with external auditors for year-end and interim audits
  • Carry out ad hoc tasks as required
